I just picked up five more chicks from my breeder two days ago, 2 australorps and 3 ameracaunas. I have them in a 2'X4' aluminum tool box lined with cardboard with the infra-red lamp at one end. At the hot end, it stays about 85-90° F. To view my set-up on the IP Cam log in as 'guest' - password is 'password'.

Slick!

Texas so it's about 10:17 AM and chicks are sleeping?

Glare a thermometer about 95 degrees?

You can keep and eye on them from anywhere in the world!

Look like you had something swimming in the waterer...until the 6th chick moved out from behind it.

Chicks are just like any other babies, they sleep a lot and are up at all hours of the night. There are only five chicks in there now. I lost one of the Australorps two days ago. I had three of each.

They are up from their morning nap....the two black ones are looking at the thermometer debating Fahrenheit or Celsius.
