So, I have i thnk 20 amp service to my coop and because of this artic blast crap, i hooked up a 250 watt lamp with a 250 watt heat bulb. Is this going to work or am I setting myself up for roast chicken? My husband is worried i will start a fire. he wanted to plug in a ceramic fan heater. Anyone have opinions on whether my setup is safe or what is better than the other? Thanks! ErinM

a 250 watt bulb on a 115v circuit only draws a little more than 2 amps.

A 20 amp breaker is plenty.

I would say a heat lamp is much safer than an electric heater, that is just asking for a fire.
