Brooder light....an old one??

I found this bulb at a flea market for a dollar and wondered if it is ok for a brooder light?? It seems to put off plenty of heat...just wondered....

Should work just fine. Test it out with a thermometer right underneath it for a 95 degree temp reading for day olds....

Yeah it should work, but I use two 250 watt bulbs in my brooder
