My 7 chicks are suppose to arrive today and I want make sure I did everything correctly to welcome them.
The temperature right now is 93F, the brooder is 4 by 4 and 21/2 feet high and completely secure with hardware cloth, they have medicated feed and electrolyte water with pebbles to avoid drowning, and little perches to enjoy. I didn't put any shaving yet, just puppy pads and I also elevated the feeder/ waterer. Anything else?
Thank you.

It looks like you're ready for some fluffy butts. Only thing missing in that brooder is chicks! Though you may want to hang your heat lamp so you can lower it when it gets cold at night...

Thank you. All of this would have never happen without this forum, seriously. I made the brooder myself just looking at pictures (i never made anything before, not quite a handy woman, to say the least lol) but I was inspired on my little project.
I found numerous source of valuable info here, and after all of these month of intense research for the brooder, coop, chicks, cleaning, etc... I became a chicken fanatic
