Brooder Size

Hello and welcome to BYC! :frow Glad you joined.
It's not big enough for that many chicks.
What type of chicks are you getting? Layer, bantam or broiler?
You want to shoot for 1 sq ft per chick for the first 3 weeks then increase the brooder size to 2 sq ft per chick.
And they start flying at 2 weeks and can easily fly up 2'.

Hi : The chicks are all layers. Here is a list of the breeds we ordered Black Sex Link , Golden Sex Links , Production Blues , Speckled Sussex , Black Australorp , Rhode Island Blues. So what would be the best size of brooder to use

Yes as said above, this will be too small for all those chicks. They need at least 1sq ft per chick, if they feel cramped, they will pick at toes, eye balls, pull feathers, ect... So either reduce the amount of chicks, divide them up or brood them outside in the coop or barn with a couple of heat lamps.

Good luck and welcome aboard!
