brooder sizes for four young poults?

i have a little dilemma here, it seems the brooder my 4 x 4 week old poults are in is too low, they keep scraping their heads on the mesh(!)
so i need to quickly move them into something else.
now i have an old rabbit cage, a lot taller than the brooder they sit in now, the same length but not so wide. will this be ok for a while, while i make something else? (it is 1mx50cmx50cm) or is it likely they will start feather plucking/fighting etc?

How many chicks? As long as there is some room to move around and have enough heat it should be fine, and its only going to be temparary as you said.

I just realized i posted in the turkey section...i must be tired. never had turkeys so i have no idea on the sizes for brooders. sorry.
