Good luck!

mine are 4 days old and I keep it in the low 90's usually around 93. 95 and it gets too hot for them but that all depends on the size of the brooder too :) they will tell you if they are cold or hot and you can adjust it. if they are hanging around under light make it a little hotter if they are huddled away from the light lower the temp

How old should they be before they can stay out side. it will be about 65 or 70 f out there?

i have an small insulated 2'x3' coop that I can keep them in with a heat lamp. It will stay about 70 even on cold nights

Our chicks seemed hot in an 18x24 brooder set to 90 degrees. We moved them to a huge box (40x48) and covered 3/4 of the surface with boards to reduce drafts. The temp is a constant 80 degrees but they seem fine, moving all around, playing and occasionally piling up under the lamp. There are 8 chicks, all about 1 week old - three Cochins, two Brahmas and three Australorps. Is 80 an ok temp if they seem ok? I've read mixed opinions on this issue.

As long as you aren't seeing issues I wouldn't worry about it too much but that is a bit cool for day olds. I have heard of illnesses caused by being to warm but so long as there are enough to avoid the getting chilled you should be ok.
