BROODER thread! Post pics of your brooders!

I have an incubator and brooder all in one haha

Up to this point I have brooded in cardboard boxes. We got a jump start on hatching and needed something a bit more durable to put outside. Here is our new brooder. It is inside of a hoop-house. Currently, outside temps in the low 30's and the chicks are warm and comfortable.

We had a "test" run on the bator and have 3 little fuzzy butts. The light colored chick is from Freedom Ranger parents. We currently have 39 eggs in the bator and looking forward to the first big hatch of the season.

40 gal stock tank with bent wood and hardware cloth cover that just sits on top, center section can be half or fully opened.
8 chicks, 1 1/2 weeks old, will need more room soon, working on a refrigerator box brooder for the next stage of growth.

Went to the refrigerator box. It's lined with 6ml plastic, sand/PDZ as bedding.
Lots of things to climb then fly off of, rowdy little buggers at 2 weeks old.

Ends folded back in and bolted to hold together and can be removed to fold back up for storage.
2x4 welded wire and some 1/2" hardware cloth top is hinged. Front folds and slips under wood at front edge of top.
Rascal loves to watch, closely supervised if course.
Piece of cardboard leaning against end is from top cut out is folded to slop in to divide the space for cleaning.

How long do these fridge boxes hold up? Is it a one year and done situation or do the boxes last a long time?
