I have a brooder similar to this that I really like but I don't have a very good lid/top on it. I like what you did. I might borrow the idea.

lol thats what i thought but wasn't sure, especially when i have seen dw a couple times. strangely enough, dw was my wife's initials before we got married. lol. she hasn't became a big chicken fan yet, but she has been very supportive of my crazy ocd addiction! and i think the chicks are really starting to grow on her. she is used to my dads crazy leghorn hens, and i keep telling her our australorps and barred rocks won't be like that, but she is skeptical to say the least.

now that i am done hijacking the thread, sorry to the op, but i envy your husband. if setting up my brooder would have distracted my wife from my other chores my to do list wouldn't be longer than my to done list!
