do you place eggs that are going to hatch in a brooder or leave them in the incubator. I have duck eggs that are going to hatch in a couple of weeks. my first batch i hatced in the incubator b ut they seemed to have a problem getting all the way out of the egg and got their heads stuck in the holes of the egg turner. what do you all recommend. thank you

I think you should remove the turner from the incubator when you lockdown and don't need it anymore.

A brooder is where the babies stay warm for the first few weeks of their life until they have feathers and can regulate their body temperature. The eggs do not go in here, the babies do after they have hatched and dried completely. Turners are not ideal for hatching in. As sumi said, when you lockdown take the turner completely out of the incubator. Lay the eggs on their sides, on the bottom of the incubator.
