Hey guys, I've got another question for you. I'm looking on getting a couple of new ducks or goslings next spring and I can't do a brooder in my house. I love ducks, but I just can't do it. I have a barn with a pen in it to keep the ducks in. Any ideas on how to keep them away from the other ducks? Would it be ok to raise the brooder off the ground? Would it be ok in the barn? Would I need to build a special brooder in the barn?

Only raised ducks once, but I've always brooded chickens in the barn. Have for over 50 years. Best place, really. No reason not to.

You cam brood them raised off the floor with a heat lamp in the barn just as easily as you can in a house/coop/garage.
