so we have a bit of a heat wave at the moment, today was 37 degrees Celsius and tomorrow is going to be 40. I have 19 eggs under a broody that should hatch in 5 days. I was concerned about them becoming "overcooked" because the outside temperature is so extreme for this time of year, but she is so smart, she got off them about 2:30pm and has only just got back on them now at 8:30pm, I checked on them a few times and they were still quite warm throughout that 6 hour period, and she kept watch over them the whole time. Nature really does know best
