I have 2 broody bantam cochins sittign on eggs in with some giant pekin ducks & other chickens.

I want to moove them to a bantam coop, but eggs are due to hatch in 3 days. Should I move them before hatch? Or after?

thanks!

From what I was told you should wait until a couple days after the hatch and do it at night, all in one go, as to not stress anyone. That's what I plan on doing.

I can potentially shut the door to the duck coop as we call it (that the chickens are nesting in) and use it as a brooder only to keep them separate fromt he rest of the flock (there's a hen house available to the rest as well so they'd be fine) then move the mamas and babies to the smaller coop.
