How often have you had a broody and a second one decided she wanted to join the fun.

They shared for a couple days. Now it seems like the first lost interest.
An Ameraucana started and a frizzle took over.

i have a clutch right now thats getting sat on by three different birds. sometimes all at the same time!

I currently have 3 hens on one clutch of about 18 eggs give or take a few.

About 30+ years ago, I had 9 hens on 27 eggs in one giant nest.

They took turns setting and eating, and then claimed whatever babies hatched under them. That was a sight!

This happens alot here. The only problem is when the 1st hen's eggs hatch the second thinks that she can leave to and then you can lose some eggs. I have learned now to have an incubator on stand by.
