I know that cochins naturally tend to be broody, but this takes the cake.
Today, I got home from work early due to snow. Checked on the chickens, and crouched over a nest box is one of my standard partridge cochin hens. I picked her up, assuming she was hunched over some eggs, and what do I find under her but a small Buttercup hen!
Either they swing both ways, or she thinks she's got a really big chick.
