I'm sure this is prob not news to most everyone here, but it seems that broodiness is contagious.

We started with our one cochin and a faverolle going broody. Next came another cochin a few days later. Another cochin decided to join the fun a day after the other. Now today, it appears our barred rock has decided she wants to get in on the act as well.

That leaves our 2 brahmas, the russian orloff and our EE that is laying. Wonder if they'll decide they want to be moms too?

We do have some fertile eggs for these girls to try and hatch. It is exciting, though!!

I know what you mean! I had one of my ducks go broody about a month ago and I had 2 chickens go broody several days ago. Unfortunately one of my broody hens died yesterday. (The other is still sitting.) R.I.P. Clover~~~I love you, girly!
