Brooding chicks in a greenhouse

With the small woven wire over the panels I think would be fine. I'd say that if you work from the bottom up go around it as you go would be a safe way to start. The wove wire can get expensive and this way you can go a little at a time, For a covering I suggest that you drape a blue tarp over top of it. This way the sun is filtered so it isn't so bright. Make sure that there is plenty of openings at the top so that the heat can escape and openings at the bottom so that the air can move. I have a small fan that stays on during the summer to keep the air moving. HEAT is more Harmful to chickens than the Cold. Keep an eye on them and if they seem to pant a lot check the temp. I seen a post on BYC where a drink cooler was used with a fan on the top and ice inside and was a makeshift air cooler. It seemed to work.

Make sure they have plenty of fresh water. With the amount of chickens that you are getting, the more heat you will have as they grow.
