Very familiar with chicks, but didn't quite take in the difference in size when I ordered the ducklings, so my dog crates are not going to work.

Plan B: Storey's says 3 ft per bird for brooding by 5-6 weeks. For 16 birds that equal 48sq ft. I was wondering if an 8 foot pool (50 sq ft) with stiff edges would work.

How deep would the walls have to be for the ducklings not to be able to jump out? I am getting Runners and WH. If it is 18 inches would that work?

If not, I am trying to think of something that is temporary and cheap enough I can set up in my living room that is big enough? Any other ideas????

That should be fine, with bedding and a heat lamp, food water, and your set of course if you know what food and how much water, whats the best bedding and how big of a lamp! :)
