Brooding - Heat Source

Hello,

Just wondering if there is any chance of coturnix using a plate brooder (Brinsea Ecoglow), or if I should just plan on buying a lamp to hang?

I'm pretty sure I've read about people brooding quail that way, but can't be 100%, sorry!

I like using a dimmable red lamp, then I don't have to adjust it up and down as they grow and the red light helps them feed often and ignore blood and possibly toes and other pecky interesting things
