We have 4 chickens and 1 started brooding. We put her in a separate cage for 3 days. As soon as we let her out, she goes right back to the nesting box and won’t move. Do we keep separating her? Or how do we break the broodiness?

It seems summer is broody season 🤣

I ended up giving my broody two chicks. She’s happy.

I found that it’s easier to break a broody who has raised a brood at least once.

But if you want to break her now and not let her raise any chicks, just keep on trying. I think first time broodies are harder to break and get easier with time.
