Brooding issue

At day 18 why do they group together(pile on top of each other) which unfortunately leads them to fracture their legs and the die .. although the temperature is 30 degree celsius ?

They're either too cold, crowded or hot. Determine temperature by behavior, not age. Smaller groups will need more.heat than bigger groups

That behaviour sounds like they're too hot. Is your brooder big enough to have a warm end and a cool end? It won't hurt to raise the temp at the warm end. Do you have a thermometer down at chick level?
