I went out tonight to check on Zima's eggs since they're supposed to be due soon. Well they just look all over the place as far as growth is concerned..she has 1 thats poking into the air sac and the rest are still growing

I guess it's to be expected on her first time...especially with all the nest swapping she did with the chickens.

I also checked 1 of Kahluas eggs and it looked good so i didn't wanna bother her anymore. I did notice a mouse/rat hole by her nest so i have to fix that tomorrow...I HATE rodents

While i was checking eggs I noticed Montie has started setting on a clutch & one of my newer girls was also setting on the egg clutch in the crate in the yard.

I'm excited for babies but I didn't expect them to all start brooding so early in the year! they're so good

I actually have No Idea how many they have. i will get a count soon though.

Thankfully they both are setting in solid bottom places. I just made Kahlua SO MAD because i had to move her whole nest to put a "rat blocker" board under her..she's lost a few eggs already

At least the rest are doing good

I was just out checking on the girls and it looks like they both have 13-15 eggs..i couldnt get an exact count though. I also, just Barely, noticed 2 other new nests! crazy girls! I will have to move the new ones because they're not in a safe spot, but at least theyre new and not being set on yet.
