I just purchased 16 chicks that will arrive soon in the mail. I currently have my flock outside. I will start them inside. I have never brooded this many at a time. I don't know how I will set them up when they get bigger. If anyone can post pics and any ideas for another bigger brooder to hold them in especially as they get older.

What I did with my birds is get a kids pool and put a dog cage around it. Easy to just clean the pool out and then they don't kick bedding out.
Dog cage? I don't think I can have them outside because of predators at least until they are older.

Watermelon bin with netting or plastic fencing on top! Got mine from the grocery store for free

Great idea. Any other ideas? That may be difficult to come across. I have to have them enclosed because I have one hungry mutt. He literally licks his lips when we have baby chicks.
