Brooding, will she starve herself?

You actually cant always trust a broody to get off. I know a few people whos broodies starved them self to death so they remove any daily from the nest to eat and drink.

Wow, very surprising. I've had broody silkies for 10 years and this has never happened. I take the eggs from them unless I am planning a hatch. In that case I place food & water next to them.
