Broody australorp broody, questions? first time

Ive got a australorp that has went broody. Ive had her 3 years and this is the first time she has gone broody, why?
There has never been a rooster around untill this spring about 3mths ago. He is a Millie Flur. I really doubt the eggs will do anything though.
She is on 4 eggs right now that I just let her have. How long do I have to wait to candle them? Like I said, I doubt they are any good though.
When I do candle them and they are no good how long should I let her try? or should I just get rid of them? and get her out of her broodiness.

If you really want to let her raise a brood, try to get some fertile eggs to place under her one night. I have a BA too! She was a great mom, lots of fun to watch.

I wish I could find some fertile eggs to put under her. Id really like some BA's but I dont know anybody around here that would have any.
