Broody Bantam Cochin - How long?

YEH! 3 days in the Broody Breaking box...and she is not broody anymore. She climbed out as soon as I opened the door and has been hanging with all the other hens.

UGG...now I have 3 broody hens! The bantam cochin went broody again last week, and also two of the buff orpingtons. We were away and I had someone taking care of the chickens...she didn't realize they were broody until they were already 4 days into it. I have put one BO in the broody breaking box already. I am hoping she breaks fast, so I can put the next one in, followed my Miss cochin. What is the deal? Is it the hot weather?

I am dealing with the same thing with my little cochin, Squirt, been almost a week now, guess i will have to get a broody box ready!!!! I had been closing the coop door so she couldnt go inside, but now I have other hens starting to lay and cant do that......i pick her up out of box, in morning and she hangs out with other chickens for bout an hour, then sneeks back to box, this goes on all day.....!!!
