Hi all,
I have a silkie bantam, about 6 mos old and she has been laying eggs like clockwork until a few days ago, she hasn't laid an egg since Weds. and yet she stays in the hen house all day until I entice her out with some scratch to check for eggs. When I go to touch her in the hen house she does puff up and make a funny noise but is it normal to be broody without an egg? Also, it has been cold, relatively speaking (Central Valley, CA about 45-50 during day) but my other amercauna bantam is still outside so I don't think my silkie is just cold. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks so much!
Stephanie
