Broody Bantam????

Is it possible for a very young banty to be broody? My 6 mo old Buff/Black japanese hasn't gotten off the nest for 3 days

Very possible for a bantam of that age to go broody.

Update on Broody Banty, her "sister" has decided to help set these eggs, they have been doing this since day 2



this is SO funny both are setting these eggs, I check everyday sometimes there are 3 under one hen 4 under one the next day there's 5 & 2
Only problem is the other hens have nowhere to lay as this is the "favorite" nest, so I am getting eggs on the ground and in the coop

Anybody have any advice on moving them and when is the best time to move as this coop is 3 feet above the ground, do I wait until after hatch?

Just moved my young broody Sunday night. I recommend moving them when they are asleep at night. Is the nest or the coop three feet off the ground? Since the other hens are starting to lay in the wrong places it would tip the balance to moving them for me.

Moved them both last night into their very own little nest separate from everybody,,,,,,,so far so good. Had a chance to candle and let her keep 9 eggs with good veining
