i decided to buy some eggs for my bantams to hatch, I sources some polish frizzle eggs and placed 4 each under 3 broody hens all good two hens hatch their eggs but the 3rd decided on day 22 to leave her box. When I noticed this the eggs were already cold so I decided to set up the incubator just incase (it was worth a go and they deserved a chance)well on day 26 the last one hatched ! I'm just delighted that 12/12 eggs hatched. When will I be able to introduce them to the chicks that hatched with their Mums ?

Welcome to BYC! I would try to do it as soon as possible so that she will accept them and keep them like her.My one warning would be to make sure she dosen't have too many to look after. I would keep a close eye on them for a while to make sure everything goes smoothly. Good Luck!

Since you have 2 broodies that successfully hatched their chicks I would take the 4 you hatched in the incubator and give 2 to each broody. Sneak them under them in the middle of the night so they're less likely to reject them. When did they hatch their own chicks? The longer it has been since they hatched their own the less likely they will be to accept the newcomers depending on the individual hen's personality.

Thank you both for your advice, as it's two weeks that the hens hatched their chicks I've decided to keep a the chicks that have hatched in the incubator in a different house.
I've never had Polish Frizzle before, they are love friendly chicks but seem very big !

Yes, it has likely been too long to try to get the other broodies to adopt them. They must be so cute! I have 1 frizzle chick and I absolutely love the crazy fluff!
