This chook has been broody for about 12 days, and started doing this head waving thing in the last 2 days. She holds her head back with beak pointing up into the sky and waves it back and forth. She is able to hold her head normally and move about. She has not been eating or drinking much, but she seems fine otherwise - no sign of injury or illness as far as we can tell.

Thanks! She did eat some sweet corn kernels today and I will dose her with vitamins tomorrow.

Thanks again...she's on moistened chick starter and layer pellets and vitamins in her drinking water. Her broody colleague will be getting the same, preventatively.

... And some black sunflower seeds which (I have read) contain vitamin E and selenium. She's eating food that's offered to her.

Interesting idea, but wouldn't it be a bit too salty?
Vegemite is packed with beneficial vitamins I mix it with yoghurt for my day olds that hatch late it gives them a massive boost. I don't use more than a tsp at a time, it's not that salty
