Broody box size

I've got a RIR broody in a nesting box about 12x12. Is that enought room for everone when they hatch (15 eggs), or should I move her? The box is also 18 inches up off the shavings...do I need to make a gang plank so they can get down without doing the cannonball into the litter? The bedding is thick, so they wouldn't get hurt.

12" by 12"? If so that is far too small once they hatch. I kept my broody in a caged area that was three feet wide, two 1/2 feet deep and 2 feet tall.
