i am after a broody breed but something like buff sussex or marans whats your opinions

I am not after something different looking like silkie
 
The only breed I've had go broody in a couple years is faverolles, of course that's the only actual breed I've had in a while besides mutts. Fav went broody very early and was quite determined,i would have liked to have given her a chance but it was almost winter.
 
Old Lady I know taught me this..Buy local from a person who has Broody Hens that actually raise Chicks...I have Orpington that are great Broodys..Quality does not always mean Broody..I also have a Silkie cross that is Mother of the year and a fantastic Momma..
