Broody breeds

I have a Blue Laced Red Wyandotte pullet, apparently her mom was a really good broody. So we will see. She just started laying last week.

I have already had 2 hen's go broody on me a couple of week's ago, but I broke them of it. I prefer to incubate them myself. One of the hen's was a Double Laced Barnevelder. The other hen was a white Naked Neck, and she's the same one that went broody on me twice last summer.

I’m all new at the broody breeds. So thank u everyone.
What about salmon Faverolle?

If someone would buy chicks from local tractor supply or feed mill did anybody had luck with broody’s there?

My guess is that some will and some won't - as mentioned, sometimes hatchery chicks lead to brooder hens and other times they don't. I've never picked chicks up at the local country store so don't have advice this way as many others would. I have had hatchery chicks that went broody in the past though, but not at as good of rates as other sources.
