Broody button.....ROOSTER!?

I believe my button ROO Quailbert has gone BROODY!!!!,

see, I was suspecting something was going to happen, when Buttons, the hen started to build a NEST, something she's never done, then started laying IN the nest, 1 egg,then 2,3,4,5 and now I believe 9 or 10!.


and now, for the past 2-3 days, I've been catching the MALE Quailbert on the nest, not just sitting there, and not sleeping, but the nest fluffed and he sitting there all alert like a broody chicken, he scurries away from the nest when you approach, but as soon as you turn your back, he's right back on it, thought I don't know, I'm SURE he sits through out the day, i've seen him both in the mornings, and at night, making me think he sits all day.

, I for one, am surprised that my buttons are possibly sitting, BUT thats it's the MALE!

BUT.....in terms of spekal-ality.... it's RARE for buttons to sit at all, so feels lucky!!! Citalk2much has broodie buttonz too

How awesome your buttons actually sit! I'd count ya' as spekal! Mine won't even lay eggs.

well, the rooster deffenatly IS sitting the nest, he was right back on it when I had checked again last night..he's been sitting for 3-5 days, so hopefully i'll have babies soon!...but then, who'd they consider momma?

as far as I know Buttons the female has postpartum, and hasn't gone anywhere near the nest LMAO
