yep, I think you guys are right. I just looked at some pics of them, and they're not exactly alike.\\, but i think he is a blue face.

I have had really light blue face and really dark ones

I love the colors that Buttons come in!

You will find that blue face is a dominant color.

Mostly Garrie's site and book and then random stuff I've picked up everywhere including this forum and others. I've been talking with some people trying to breed really pure black blue faces. I got a few eggs from one person and all their chicks came out either near black, blue breasted, or silver. It seems a lot of the "black" buttons are blue breasted base with blue face over it. Not saying you couldn't get a really dark button from a blue face red breasted or pearl but it would probably take more work/luck.
