Broody Cat

Thought I would share something really cute. I went out to collect eggs and found my cat Valentine sleeping in the nest on two eggs... I guess I've found my broody chicken...or cat. Too bad I didn't have my camera with me.

They do the cutest things when the camera's not at hand, don't they? I've got a Persian that I swear thinks he is a chicken ... he spends his days sunning out by the chicken yard, eats chicken feed every chance he gets, and snuggles with my Dutchie hen when I bring her inside. He's always been a bit on the weird side, and my hubbie says this just proves that cats with flat faces are "bird brained"

Our barn cat will be found snuggling on the nest from time to time also,... mainly after a hen has just laid an egg... I thionk it is seeking the warmth... you know how opportunistic cats are.
