I have a broody chicken named Wiskers. For about two weeks she has been sitting in the nest that had been shared with some of the other girls and is giving about one egg every two days. We were getting between 2-3 eggs a day between four hens but now the other hens are not laying any eggs. I have another nesting box out but they are not using it. So, what can I do about Ms. Wiskers being broody and how do i get the others to start laying again?

I do have a second hen pen that I have six two month old chicks in. Do you think I could put her in with them and put in a separate nesting box for her to get her away from the others and do you think she would brother the younger birds? And suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Welcome.

Do you want Ms whiskers to hatch eggs?
If so give her some fertile eggs and move her to her own place where the others can't get to her.

If not do you have a wire dog type crate to put her in by herself for a few days to try and break her broodiness?

Hello and welcome to BYC! :frow Glad you joined.
If you want to break her broodiness, the wire dog crate works if it's up off the floor so air can circulate under her belly. Hosing her belly with cool water will help too.
