broody cochin

i think my baby black cochin has gone and went broody . she has been paired up with a lemon blue rooster from the time they were little. now after she has laid ten eggs ( we never took them out to see what she would do ) she wont let him in the nest area . when we built the pen for them i ran out of material for a nest box so we used a 18qt tote from walmart we turned it upside down and cut a hole in the front , and ta da a nest box. i wonder what colors of chicks we will get.

this is pretty sad she gave us a false start so after 12 eggs i pulled them out . we have had some funky weather here in OK and some cold temps like 26 deg and im afraid the eggs are probably a little on the frost bitten side . so we wait.
