So! My broody quail. I'm slightly worried about this. She's in with four other quails, outside. I don't want to remove them and disturb her from being broody, or remove them only for her to not sit the whole time anyway.
I have no idea how long she's been sitting. I went to clean them out today and she was hidden away in the box I gave them for hideaway.
Any help would be great. I've had another quail go broody a few times but it never went all the way so I have no idea what I'm doing!
Also, I don't have an incubator, so if this is all goes pear shaped I don't know what to do! I'll candle the eggs tonight when it's dark out and post another photo.

Just let nature takes its course. leave her be if she gives up no harm just toss the eggs. If not and she hatches just be sure to watch the others do not attack the chicks and kill them. Have fun and good luck!

Thank you! I'm going to set up a broody box just in case the others turn on her and the chicks. I'll be watching like a hawk!

I would recommend not disturbing the eggs to candle them as well, that could very well upset her enough to change her mind.

ETA;

If she sits full term, I'd just take out the other birds as soon as any hatch.
the babies are so fragile that a single first interaction with an aggressive adult
bird could be its last.

That was my plan. I'm not going to disturb them by moving them now - one of the males is sitting too for her. When they hatch I'm going to attempt to just block the others off until I can pop them in a brooder box.
