Hi all

,
I was planning on purchasing a muscovy duck to use as a broody for hatching chicks. I understand chickens can hatch ducks and raise them successfully but can it work the other way around? if you have tried this, PLEASE tell me your experience as i do want to know if it works before i try it

It can work the other way, but ducks with their web feet tend to break chicken eggs in my experience. Also if you leave the chicks with a duck 'mother' they become chilled or drown when she goes swimming. For me it was not a success story.
