Broody duck not sitting on eggs

I would like to do that, but if the mother doesn't hatch them herself then they won't have a mother to take care of them.
She is not going to hatch them herself. That's not how nature works.
She stopped trying to hatch them yesterday. We thought that she would keep sitting on her nest for longer to keep her ducklings warm and also keeping the eggs warm at the same time.
If she kept sitting on her nest, how would the ducklings access feed and water? It's basic biology. Next time start the Muscovy eggs a week earlier.
