Broody duck

The fun part about her going broody, is all you have to do now is watch! As long as she is able to completely cover all her eggs, they're doing great. Extra bedding is sometimes nice for them so they can create the "perfect" nest. However you don't want to alter her nest as she may abandon them. Provide extra bedding near by and she'll add it in if she wants to. You don't need to, that's only if you want! They don't like to be moved or have their eggs moved as they are grumpy moms now! Some people like to move them to a brooder box so other flock members can't pick on them, if this is an issue. Mark her eggs so if new ones appear, you will know they're from someone else and to remove them from the nest. Good luck!

hi Krista,
I don’t think I’ll get near the eggs to mark them, she’s not budging! I’m pretty sure she’s sitting on some chicken eggs as well as her own, will this matter?

Perfect! Everything sounds like it is going fine and she will care for them great. If you can't get near the eggs, good she's doing her job 110%! I have heard of people having their ducks hatch geese. If the chicken eggs are fertile and hatch, she might try to claim them or she'll just reject them! If they aren't fertile, they will eventually smell but it won't hurt anything that she's sitting on them!

That might be a problem: Chickens hatch after 21 days, ducklings after 28. I don't know if she will continue to sit on her eggs after the chickens have hatched. Also I've heart of a hen hatching ducklings but never vice versa. That'll be interesting!

I feel like if they're fertile by then, they would just begin hatching and the duck would know instinctively an egg is hatching. I know all birds can sit on an egg and hatch it but man is it just funny when it happens that way! Also, @andreagran7 is it a possibility the chick eggs could be fertile?
