I have had one of my hens sitting for over a month now. She is determined to hatch out some babies. So my problem is my others want to also lay in the same spot so the new eggs gets mixed with the ones she is trying to hatch. So here's my issue I have been having to make her move everyday to get the new eggs and then I have found that the other eggs are getting hidden under parts of the nest and are cold because everytime the others lay she moves on top of those new eggs and some of the others get shuffled. I have been candeling the other eggs and have had to toss them because they stopped progressing. I'm trying to figure out a solution because I hate she has been sitting this long and nothing is happening other than the eggs going bad. But I was thinking of moving her and the nest to my smaller coop so she can be by herself and the others can lay in my big coop so she is not disturbed. Or should I just get her to stop brooding all together. She does get off the nest maybe once a day to eat and drink. Other than that she doesn't move. Any suggestions. Sorry long post this is my first time letting my duck sit. I normally do incubator hatches.

You might only leave her with a few eggs and put the rest in your incubator. It would be best to move her away from the others, I have been in this situation
Right now she only has 6 viable and they probably are not even hers since the others didn't make it that she started with. I just wasn't sure how she would be moving her and the nest. Were you able to do that? I actually put 1 of her original eggs under a broody chicken which is now about to hatch.

Broodiness takes a lot out of a hen. I’d only keep her brooding IF her current viable ones are close to hatch, otherwise break the broodiness and finish the hatch in your incubator.

Moving her to the small coop may break her broodiness. You could try it, or continue to move her and remove new eggs each day. You could also remove new eggs when she gets off the nest for the day, if you can catch her doing that.
