Ok this can get kind of confusing so bear with me on this. I raised these pet ducks and then let them go at the lake about two years ago. They still sometimes come up to me, and they recognize me and stuff like that. Anyways I found her nest a while ago, and I decided to put 7 of her eggs in an incubator and replace them with hard boiled eggs in the nest. She is currently broody but I have read her kind of breed are generally bad nesters. So what I plan to do is when the eggs are about to hatch I will lure her out of her nest with bread and/or poke her with a stick and then sneak the eggs into her nest. Do you think this will work?
And also she got out of her nest today for at least 2 hours. Would the rest of her eggs still be viable? Or is she not broody anymore even though she just became broody?
Sorry for so many questions.
Thanks though!:)

Ok thank you, but the reason I took the eggs off besides that she might crush them is because other predators will come and steal her eggs while she is off of them.
