So my free range ee has been broody for about a week now and has been in the woods behind our house. We had some bad storms roll through today and she's been on the porch with the other chickens for a few hours. I'm just curious if the storm may have broken her broodiness or if it's more likely that she'll go back on the nest.
I'm honestly good either way, but just curious.

Hopefully her nest was not flooded or found by predators.
When I last checked earlier it was fine, but I'm pretty sure her broody has been broken. She's been hanging out with the rest of the crew most of the day. I guess we'll see tonight if she comes up on the porch for her evening cuddles or not.

I also have a broody free range hen that goes in the woods all day. My problem is I can't find her. She disappears for the whole day and I have searched everywhere I can get to with no luck. She will come back for a while in the afternoon I think for about an hour and then leave again. It wasn't until the last 2 nights that she hasn't returned to the coop that I'm worried about her. She has always hunted in the woods and always laid her egg a day in the nesting boxes. I'm not home during the day usually but have been home the last few days and I just can't find her nest. Help!
