My crazy fizzle bantam has been broody for 7 weeks now, tonight I kicked her off the nest and blocked access to it. It took a good 39 mins but she is back on the too roost. I wish I had a wire cage but unfortunately I don't:( any other suggestions?

That is one method, blocking off the nests. Even closing the coop entirely. If she stays on the roost, hopefully she will have cooler air on her belly, at least more of it than when on the nest. You might have to keep the nest blocked off for a few days -- which might mean you will have to hunt eggs from your other hens.

Some people put ice packs under them in the nest. One person at least puts them in an area where the floor is concrete, with no nesting material.

I put "break a broody" in the general search near the top of the page, and it brought up a bunch of threads.

7 weeks? I think I would scrounged up some scrap wood and chickenwire and BUILT the broody cage myself long before 7 weeks ran out. In 7 weeks you could have woven one from old coat hangers.

Well it's cold here as its winter so she defiantly would have had some cold air. Ill see how she goes over the next few days.
