I have a trio of pilgrim geese, they started laying eggs recently. Any idea if/when they will go broody? And if so, how can I tell? Thanks!

You know when they pretty much refuse to get off the nest.
How old are they? Yearlings are less inclined to brood. Some girls are never into it. They typically don't even think about it until they are over 6 weeks into the season. An average clutch will be 6-10 eggs. Will take over 2 weeks to accumulate that many. I start dating eggs and remove the oldest if she gets too many. Check fertility before you let her sit. Mine started the first week of Feb and none of the 9 have bothered to build a good nest. A nice protected area with plenty of material to build a large nest can help. I've used XL dogloos for individual brooding areas.
