Broody GOOSE! NO eggs though..

She doesn't have a mate. So she was sitting on air. We tried for a week to break her of it, but no go. So yesterday I put some chicken eggs under her. Do ya'll think she'll hatch them?

Hopefully she won't try to raise them as geese and take them into the water..
.. better go empty the baby pool.

Well, all 4 eggs are still under her and unbroken.

My goose goes broody every year from anywhere from the end of February or March until it is quite warm out. She lays a ton of eggs, has no mate though....I don't think a Khaki Campbell and a Mallard count as mates!! She sits faithfully on those eggs and is VERY protective.

I think your little girl will do just fine!!....You have just planted a little thought in my head!
