broody guinea

the guinea that was siting on 15 eggs dissapeared last night along with all her eggs what ever got her left no trace of it:hit. i was not happy so i set a trap to try and find the vermin that got it. i am hoping the only 4 eggs that have keets in them will hatch so i can get up to 10

well i went out to check the trap yesterday mornin and i had i 18 pound racoon. but i didnt think that this ate my guinea so i reset it yesterday afternoon hoping to catch something else but had nothing this morning. i will try again tonight​
 
It was the raccoon! I lost a few hens last year, not a single trace of the bird or the eggs.

I plan on building an enclosure that can be stuck in the ground and put around the bird! Will also be setting live traps around the bird. I usually go around and gather what eggs I can find and have a hen hatch them. I did have a few guineas actually hatch their own, but they left about 6 all around the nest, yard, field while she took 5 of them back to the coop. (she lost the motherhood of the year award and all keets here taken away and put in the brooder)
