I have a broody hen who's been sitting on eggs 30 days - have I waited long enough to end it? I tossed one 3 days ago because it smelled. The temperatures her have been hot and it's been humid. She is a first time broody and never leaves the nest. She is isolated. Do I toss the eggs and move her out to regain her strength? Would someone with experience please send me advice, I'd appreciate.

Yes, I would toss all the eggs and definitely move her. Hopefully she has been getting up once a day to eat, drink and poop. This is what they need to do, and normally do on their own.

Thanks, Flockwatcher. I moved her, gave her 3 days on heavy food and hard boiled eggs and lots of fresh water, and now she's back among the flock, no problem.

I put the eggs in a freezer Ziplock bag and broke them. Not one was formed. I know my rooster is very attentive to his rooster but maybe he is infertile?

Thank you for your advice.
